Ace of Spades Birthday Party Decor

September 3, 2014

Elle Daftarian is a party planner and sweet shoppe owner extraordinaire! This dinner party was planned for her brother in an intimate backyard tent setting.

Since her brother adores gambling, she decided to make the theme based off of  "Ace of Spades." This gold, black and white decor looks masculine and strong. It is gorgeous on a garden landscape and simple to put together.

Elle used striped tablecloths for a bold effect and made custom made votives "ace of spade" themed for the centrepiece flowers.

Gold cutlery and gold painted welcome drink bottles helped tie in the theme and focus the eye.

Simple white flowers with pops of green were cut short and displayed in this gold square vases. The display is kept simple yet effective. Hand made and printed labels for the gold painted bottles adds a special touch.

A dinner party isn't a dinner party without menus. Here, Elle used the "Ace of Spades" logo on the top, and bordered it in black. It is again simple and pretty. Paper striped straws ensure that the theme is carried through from the tables all the way to the drinks in each guests hands.

Lastly, this incredible cake by Petite and Sweet was custom made for Arash. He loves watches so a watch cake was made just for him. Do you see the detail is the watch?

Next time you think about inviting guests over to your home, consider tenting them in the backyard and hiring catering. This will alleviate the work load and stress for you, so you can entertain and actually enjoy your friends and family.

The detail in the watch is just extraordinary! Look at the face of it! WOW!

Guests arrived in late afternoon to enjoy cocktails and hor d’oeuvres.

Dealers and card tables adorned the lawn for casino games to ensue all night long.
