Arcadian Court Wedding
August 13, 2016
I had promised Kirsten that the weather man is always wrong and as the morning grew later and later, I was about to proven very wrong! When I got to the hotel suite, Kirsten sweetly and calmly asked me “How does it look outside? Will it rain?” As she sat getting her hair done, I looked westward and my eyes widened. The sky looked like I have never seen it. It was dark grey with two funnel clouds..it literally looked like we would be swept away with the tin man and the scarecrow. I couldn’t deny it any longer and said “I’m not gonna lie. It looks like a tornado.” Kirsten barely flinched and smiled. She knew it all along and she didn’t care. She just wanted to see her husband to be and get married!
Kirsten and Jeff are the epitomy of modern chic – from their wedding attire to their decor details, everything was carefully picked and planned.
Hair and makeup is done. The lovely bride is at ease and ready to put on her dress. The stormy weather outside is clearly not phasing her at all.
Soon the Miss will become Mrs Weiss!
Such a gorgeous bouquet…created by the talented people at Cool, Green and Shady.
Reading a letter from Jeff has Kirsten feeling emotional and brings tears to her eyes. It’s so sweet to see these moments of love between a bride and groom just before they’re about to be married.
The ladies are dressed and ready for the ceremony to begin…a toast is definitely in order!
Now it’s Jeff’s turn to read a love letter from Kirsten. She sends a special message to her soon to be husband on an adorable personalized cookie…so sweet!
The groom and his groomsmen are on point with their style game!
Kirsten’s face breaks out into a huge smile as she spots her groom waiting for her at the altar.
In addition the tornado brewing in the distance, it was steaming hot outside! It was humid and sticky beyond belief and some how Mother Nature decided to stop raining at exactly the moment the ceremony ended and we needed to take bridal party shots! WOW! Our luck couldn’t have been better and we hopped on over to Osgoode Hall for some bridal party and couple shots.
Despite the steamy heat, the bridal party pushed through with gusto, sweating through their dressy clothes. I felt bad for them, because even my shins were sweating and I didn’t have to wear a suit! Regardless, everyone was thankful the rain stopped, and the couple got some wonderful shots. We finished up and headed into Arcadian Loft just as the rain started up again.
I love capturing candid moments like this one between a bride and groom. It’s pretty clear to see they only have eyes for each other!
The table decor was perfectly elegant and such a nice fit for the classy bride and groom.
You can’t go wrong with a cupcake favour…because really, who doesn’t love a good cupcake!
All of the guests got a front row seat as the bride and groom have their first dance as husband and wife surrounded by their family and friends.
The wedding cake was classic and elegant and adorned with a simple “W” on top for the groom and now his new bride’s, last name.
The loft is modern and chic on its own, and with a bit of glam and romance and tons of candlelight glow, the room looked stunning. The night ensued with heartfelt speeches that really connected the guests with the two families. Norris Films presented a touching same day edit video and intervals of live music broke up the dinner which was refreshing! You could tell that this group was ready to party the night away and they did just that!
There’s always someone getting emotional during the speeches phase of the reception. It’s hard not to when there’s so much love in the air.
The mother of the bride is overcome with emotion as she watches her baby girl share a special dance with her father.
Fortunately, a tornado didn’t hit the city and the evening sun set with calmer weather.
I love seeing older people hit the dance floor! This amazing woman right here is proof that age ain’t nothing but a number!
What a great day and a great bunch of people!
