Bunny Garden Tablescape

March 22, 2021

Olive Studio put together another fresh and spring table-scape inspiration. This bunny garden theme is perfect for kids, adults or a mix of both! Whether your gathering is for Easter brunch, a birthday party or baby shower, this idea is easy to create, gender neutral and fits a tight budget!

BUNNY TABLESETTINGS

The table-settings are basic but very cute. This bunny set of paper plates comes in multi-colours. We laid these out mixing the colours around the table. Our table was wooden, so the natural organic theme seemed fitting. If your table doesn't match the theme, simply put on a beautiful white tablecloth to start with a neutral blank canvas.

CUTLERY ROLL UPS

There are so many ways you can play with colour when you have plates in multiple colours. You can match napkins to each coloured plate, or choose one coloured napkin to bring cohesion throughout the table. In our case, we did the latter. Using a scalloped edge pale yellow napkin, we rolled bamboo cutlery inside. We wrapped the roll with natural string, letting the string to loosely hang off the roll. To finish it off, we topped it with a cute carrot. These cutlery roll ups, tie all the coloured plates together so that your eye feels a harmony with the arrangement.

You can also work with the opposing look and feel, by matching the napkin to the plate. This would create a more playful design that we would likely avoid using the orange carrot for all on. If you can, colouring the carrot to match the napkin for each setting would be a super cute alternative!

TAKE-OUT BOXES

These mint green bunny take-out boxes had the perfect pastel hue for this table-setting. Again, we went with green for each setting, and filled them with a natural yellow gift filler. These take-out boxes are perfect for an Easter Egg hunt or for putting take-away treats inside.

MILK GLASSES

Dress any ordinary drink up with a fancy glass or jar and finish it off with a straw and suddenly the drink has levelled up.

VEGGIE GARDEN TABLE RUNNER

Don't fret about making your table look pretty when you are on a tight budget. This can sometimes deter you, but honestly there are always affordable options right under your nose!

We went through our fridge and pulled out all our veggies to create a beautiful and fresh bunny garden table runner. Using Lemonade Party Box's astro turf table runner as a starter, we consequently laid everything else on top. We gathered our favourite wooden box to put in the centre and laid the veggies out in groupings. We didn't have a ton of veggies, so we ensured to lay them out evenly, grouping multiples together so that it doesn't visually look like a salad threw up on the table. You could alternatively use multiple boxes, crates, baskets or cake stands to give different levels to your runner.

In order to finish off the look, we placed a few of our wired monarch butterflies into the veggies so they appeared to be flying over top. This element just adds a bit of magic to the garden. Be creative. You could also opt to make the runner edible for guests with mini dips for each person. This would require more food preparation of course, but you get the idea! The options are really endless here.
