Spring Wedding Inspiration

April 9, 2018

We are so pumped for the arrival of spring. And spring, of course, makes us think of wedding season! The announcement of Pantone’s Colour of the Year has us pretty excited. Ultra Violet is such a beautiful colour and perfect for the spring season. It’s so easy to incorporate this color into your wedding theme. Add your favourite violet coloured flowers to your bouquet and make it the focal point by selecting more subdued colours for the rest of the floral arrangement.

For brides who prefer a non-matching bridesmaid look, cranberry is a great color choice to mix in with your violet dresses. Gents, a violet colored bow tie paired with a classic charcoal suit, like this one from The Black Tux is a great way to incorporate the color of the year into your wedding day attire.

Spring makes us think of soft and pretty colors and what could be prettier than blush paired with grey, a popular spring neutral. What a beautiful color combination these two make!

A blush colored, floor length slip dress is an ideal choice for your boho inspired bridesmaid look. Grey is an excellent alternative to black for groomswear in the springtime. This light shade is the perfect choice to compliment a blush colored wedding theme. Here’s our favorite grey suit from The Black Tux.

Green green and more green. How about the unexpected, yet totally gorgeous, combination of slate paired with moss? Moss is a colour that is synonymous with spring. This is the time of year when everyone (or at least everyone living in a cold weather climate!) is longing to see green…after a long, snow covered winter. Your groom will look like the perfect gentleman in a slate grey tuxedo like this favorite of ours from The Black Tux.

It really doesn’t get any easier than incorporating this colour combo into your wedding decor. Use lots of foliage and greenery to accentuate your spring wedding decor like a beautiful floral arrangement on a grey table runner. Or, you can adorn a naked vanilla wedding cake with moss for a simple yet elegant look.

Spring has always been a popular time of year to get married, and it’s easy to see why. It’s a season of bloom and new beginnings. We hope you walk away with a little (or a lot!) of inspiration for your spring wedding.
