Virtual Live-Stream Event for Centrum

December 11, 2020

Olive Studio had the pleasure of creating a health and wellness virtual live-stream event for Centrum. They have recently launched a new Multi+Probiotic Vitamin supplement to help support immune function and gastrointestinal health. This vitamin contains 18 nutrients to support immune function, eyesight, and energy! Yes please.

VIRTUAL LIVE-STREAM EVENT

Special invited social media influencers in the GTA, tuned into a live workout hosted by trainers, Cassie Day and Jahmeek Taylor. A presentation by author, Lydia Knorr followed about the importance of maintaining healthy immune gut function.

STYLE IT GREEN

Olive Studio styled the shelves with foods that help boost your immune system and don't we all need a little lesson on that nowadays? Throughout this pandemic and the typical cold and flu season, it is extra important to supplement your body with essential immune boosting nutrients like citrus fruits, broccoli, garlic, ginger, leafy greens, red peppers, almonds, papaya and kiwi to name a few.

LIVE-STREAM VIRTUAL EVENT

An array of beautiful veggies like kale, spinach, avocados, tomatoes and brussel sprouts adorned the wooden pantry-like shelves. Pops of juicy and nutritious fruits like pomegranate, papaya, orange and banana added deep and rich texture and interest. Glass hurricanes and glass vessels showed off the beautifully delicate textures of various grains, lentils, beans and nuts like black eyed-peas, kidney beans, oats and almonds.

10 IMMUNE BOOSTING TIPS

Eating fresh is healthy. Eating anything that you can grow, pick or raise will give you a head start in healthy eating habits. Here are 10 basic tips to boost your immune system.

CENTRUM

  1. Use Probiotics. Probiotics give you a highly populated gut full of beneficial bacteria. They have little tolerance for disease-causing bacteria. They stimulate antibody production, natural killer cells, T-cells, and phagocytes to eradicate viruses and bacteria. The list of proven advantages to probiotic use goes on and on. Trust us. It's worth it!
  2. Vitamin D. This is almost exclusively limited to animal sources. Supplementation promotes NK cell activity and macrophage activity. These both challenge infectious bugs including reducing cancer rates.

PROBIOTIC

Rest. Our bodies crash and burn after putting them through consistent stressors. It is crucial to manage our stress levels to avoid putting strain on our immune systems. Avoid exhaustion by maintaining frequent stress relieving activities in your life that force you to unwind and disconnect from technology.

SLEEP

  1. Sleep. Our brains and muscles need sleep to produce healthy cells or repair or replace old ones. Compromising on sleep puts pressure on the processes essential to the production or repair of immune cells. It creates an ill-prepared system that is weak to infection and stress.
  2. Antioxidants. They increase immune system effectiveness and neutralize disease promoting free radicals. These have the potential to weaken immune systems, damage organs and cells. Vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, whole pressed fruits, turmeric, cocoa and green tea are the best sources of antioxidants. Include these foods wherever possible to build your immune system.

IMMUNITY

  1. Water. Is. Good. Hydrate your body. Dehydration is a state of emergency and you want to avoid putting your body in that state. Flush toxins which could disrupt your natural immunity.
  2. Supplement with Immune Boosters. Shitake Mushrooms and Echinacea are immune boosters that should be taken at first onset of cold symptoms. Additionally, they have the ability to improve stamina, prevent infection, and combat infection.
  3. Organic. Eating whole, unprocessed food ensures that we avoid the issue of toxicity. In addition, they also contain higher concentrations of minerals and vitamins with much lower levels of chemicals, and toxic metals.

SUPPLEMENT

  1. Anti-Microbials. Some plants poison viruses, bacteria and parasites like oregano, garlic and goldenseal. These foods contain compounds that are highly toxic to pathogenic organisms, thus eliminating viruses through their own mechanisms.
  2. Move. We all know we have to exercise. Stimulate immune cell production by moving. Sweating excretes toxins which helps reduce stress on the immune system. More importantly, moving your body transports immune cells and waste through the lymphatic channels of your body. In conclusion, this has both direct and indirect effects.

IMMUNE BOOSTING SWAG

Gift baskets were hand packed and delivered to each influencer the morning of the virtual event. An immune boosting Buddha bowl, fresh pressed juice, Centrum workout swag and of course the featured Probiotic were included in the baskets. The swag served multi-functioning for the live stream workout and a relaxing lunch to eat while tuning in to some immune boosting tips.
