Christmas Tree Mini Sessions

January 25, 2021

Christmas Tree Mini Sessions are a great way to update your family photos and get a holiday card out for the year. Olive Studio had the pleasure of capturing many families at Pinedale Christmas Tree Farm in Hamilton.

Below are some of our favourite captures from some of the sessions! If you are unsure of how to best prepare for your session, here are a few tips to get you started:

TIPS

1. Layer your clothes! Make sure everyone is warm. Layer up so you have the choice of taking layers off.

2. Pick a colour story of up to 5 colours, and choose coordinating outfits from there. Mixing up patterns and textures add depth and warmth. Avoid matching everyone in the same shirt colours with same bottoms.

3. Make sure everyone has eaten and gone to the washroom beforehand. No one cranky has ever enjoyed modelling.

MINI SESSION TIPS

4. Bring props like a blanket to sit on, a toboggan or a variety of accessories like hats + scarves.

5. If you kids are shy, come early and let them explore their environment before the session. This "warm up" time can be extremely helpful for introverted kids.
