A lifestyle maternity session at home on the farm | The Billark’s

I just adore a good lifestyle family/maternity session. You know the saying excitement is contagious? Well, when Amanda emailed me with her enthusiastic desires to document her new life chapter, I too got excited! She was pregnant with her second baby and had just moved into her dream farm house in Dundas, Ontario. She was on a high and I got excited at the thoughts of doing a session in her old 1800's farm house.

The house did not disappoint. This powerhouse couple didn't either. I mean who calls their photographer after only a few months of moving in? Not many. The house had charm, a story to tell, and of course beautiful details that would compliment any photograph.

Together, we exchanged stories and explored the house with their daughter who would soon become big sis. I encouraged them to play, to laugh, to cuddle and just be. I am pumped about the results and couldn't be more excited to return for another family session; when their threesome becomes four.

Congratulations Amanda and Kyle! I can't wait to see how your little family grows and flourishes in the house you will surely make into your home all too soon!
