The Fermenting Cellar is a Toronto venue perfect for the couple who wants a moody, modern atmosphere with a great potential for a party vibe. Kyoko and Darwin came to me with just those requests. They needed help articulating their vision and executing it to creation. “Fall colours, vintage mixed with modern, and no boho anything” were a few keywords they had for their requests. They wanted a focus on good food and dancing.

For example, when you hire Olive Studio for decor, you will receive a questionnaire that helps isolate your style as a couple. It subsequently allows us to create a Style Board with 3 different options for you. We create 3 looks with add on options that give us a starting point for your event design. You choose the one you like the best and from there, we modify as needed pending on taste, budget and venue restrictions.

HIRING A STYLIST

Olive Studio will source and liaise with all external vendors related to decor such as furniture rentals, props, signage, table settings, desserts and florals. Basically anything design related will go through us. This enables you to sit back and make yes and no decisions related to the design of your wedding and allow us to create your style dream.

Kyoko and Darwin live in NYC, so this was extremely beneficial for them. They did not have the resources to run decor related errands or do any DIY. They could solely rely on us to put the vision to life including set up and tear down.

When choosing a decor stylist, it is important to feel heard and understood. A stylist, while they have their own unique style, should be able to read and understand your vision. Meet with them in person or in video to feel if you jive. In conclusion, you should feel confident and trusting that your wedding vision will come to life!
